For the Men’s and Women’s NCAA Final Four, our team partnered with Octagon to deliver an unforgettable brand experience through two unique activations: Tool Shaq and Tip-Off Tailgate Dunk Bucket. Spanning a 60’ x 60’ footprint, we custom fabricated and built an immersive environment that fused The Home Depot’s brand identity with the dynamic personalities of basketball legends Shaquille O’Neal and Sabrina Ionescu.

Key Features and Elements:
- Seed Bracket Flower Wall: A visually striking wall installation featuring blooming flowers arranged in a bracket format, tying NCAA tradition with seasonal flair.
- Custom Basketball Court: Designed for interactive play and photo ops, reinforcing the sports-centric experience.
- Shaq-a-Mole Game: A playful, larger-than-life twist on the classic whack-a-mole concept, themed around Shaq’s personality.
- “How to Work the Paint” Art Zone: A kid-friendly creative corner where children could color and engage in hands-on fun.
- Scotts Spreader Basketball Shot Game: A custom-engineered game that combined The Home Depot’s outdoor brand partners with basketball, using a Scotts spreader to shoot hoops.
- Outdoor Tip-Off Tailgate Dunk Area: Anchored by a giant custom Home Depot bucket, this outdoor experience invited fans to dunk on a full-size goal, drawing massive engagement and buzz.
The Octagon team expressed their satisfaction on-site, stating they were thrilled with the final product and our ability to faithfully bring the renders and designs to life. A recurring comment we received was, “It looks just like the renders!” During the call today while planning this year’s final four multiple people from the Octagon team stated that we “perfectly executed the vision last year and they are so happy that we will be bringing Tool Shaq 2.0 to life for them this year.
